Enhancement

Event Attendance

This enhancement to Attendance allows users to mark attendance for an event either manually or QR basis. When creating an event, at the second stage of event creation, users can define if the attendance for that event will be captured on QR basis on manually.

QR Based Attendance –
Once an event has been created to capture QR based attendance. A confirmation message appears at the end of event creation.

Once you have registered for an event, the system will generate a QR code that can be used later for marking attendance by Tenant admins. Any QR scanner devices can scan this QR code.

Registered users must show their QR code at the events and whosever is marking the attendance would use QR scanner and the attendance would be marked automatically in the Events attendance. You can view automatically marked attendance for an event under My Events > Created > Open the Event > Event Schedule.

NOTE: You are required to get the updates for Events from Studio > AppStore to utilize this enhancement. Also, RBACSettings applet is required to be enabled and older Settings applet shall be disabled.

Increased Document Upload Limit

From this enhancement, a user can now upload heavier files (in size) to My Drive. The file upload limit has been increased to a maximum of 30 MBs per file from previously set 7 MBs per file. However, the maximum limit of multiple files upload is still 30 files at a time in Unifyed Engage My Drive.

NOTE: You are required to get the updates for MyDrive from  Studio > AppStore to utilize this enhancement. Also, RBACSettings applet is required to be enabled and older Settings applet shall be disabled.

Search on MyDrive

Unifyed Engage has upgraded the Drive app with the search feature. Users can now search for folder and files from within the drive. The search works on both shared/own files & folders.

NOTE: You are required to get the updates for MyDrive from Studio > AppStore to utilize this enhancement. Also, RBACSettings applet is required to be enabled and older Settings applet shall be disabled.

Hiding Group Information

This enhancement gives Unifyed Group admins more control over the group and the information that appears in under header section of a group. Group Admins can now hide/unhide the header section and ‘Hide Group Info’ option of Unifyed Groups.

NOTE: You are required to get the updates for Unifyed Groups from Studio > AppStore to utilize this enhancement. Also, RBACSettings applet is required to be enabled and older Settings applet shall be disabled.

Customizable Groups on Left Navigation Bar

This enhancement enables you to control the presence of My Groups and Managed Groups in the left navigation menu bar. You can control appearing/disappearing of the options with a toggle switch placed under Settings > Site Settings > Left Navigation > Site Groups.

Managing ‘Override User’s Notification Preferences’

With this enhancement, “Override User’s Notification Preferences” is now RBAC driven. Tenant admins can control the visibility and availability of “Override User’s Notification Preferences” toggle switch that is present on Messaging > Create screen.

Now, by default, the “Override User’s Notification Preferences” option will be hiding for all users. To be able to see this setting, a user MUST have the permission to access “Override User’s Notification Preferences” from the ‘Add More +’ link of Messaging module under RBAC.

NOTE: You are required to get the updates for Messaging from Studio > AppStore to utilize this enhancement. Also, RBACSettings applet is required to be enabled and older Settings applet shall be disabled.

Role Based Landing Pages

From this release, admins can define an app’s landing page so that users based on their roles/groups land on the right page that have been assigned to. Admin has the right to define a specific landing page for a specific group of users from Settings > Landing Page.

Note: Any configuration available for ‘Guests’ and ‘Landing Page’ via Settings app should override Landing Page configurations.

Group Admins Studio Access

From this release, administrators of Unifyed groups (irrespective of their tenant admin rights) can now have access to the Studio option only specifically to that group/project they are administrators of. Previously, only a group admin who is also a tenant admin, could view the studio option.

Distorted QuickLaunch Icons

The issue with inconsistent icon size in Verify widget on mobile has been fixed.

Roles Based Messaging Template

This enhancement to Messaging Templates makes them role-based. Now, users who create templates can view the templates created by themselves only and NOT the Messages Templates created by others. But a tenant admin will have access to all the templates regardless of the ownership of the template.

NOTE: You are required to get the update for Messaging from Studio > AppStore to utilize this enhancement. Also, RBACSettings applet is required to be enabled and older Settings applet shall be disabled.

Connect Enhancement

This enhancement allows tenant admins to target selective connect categories to selective groups. Now, the connect categories that are shown to a user in the preferences are based on the groups that the user is a member of, and groups the connect category is targeted to. This also holds true when viewing/selecting categories during posting a message from Connect Audience.

This enhancement impacts Preferences section under Profile, FTU (first-time user) flow and during category selection for Connect Audience as per following:

  • Preferences: If a tenant admin switches on the ‘opt-in’ toggle for users and locks it, then the opted-in categories automatically appear in their preference section and they cannot opt-out of it. However, if the ‘opted-in’ category is not locked the users can opt-out of them from the Preferences section.
  • Connect Audience: Similarly, if a tenant admin switches on the ‘opt-in’ toggle for a category for a user(s)/group(s) and locks it, then the opted-in categories automatically appear in Connect Audience section and they cannot opt-out of it. However, if the ‘opted-in’ category is not locked, then the users can opt-out of them when writing posts in Connect Audience.
  • FTU (First Time User) Flow: When a user logs into the system for the very first time, he will see all categories:
Opted-In Categories: Users can opt-out of the opted-in category from the FTU screen.
Open Categories:  Users can opt-in/out of any open categories from the FTU screen.
Locked Categories: Users can NOT opt-out of any locked categories from the FTU screen.

Note: Users cannot Opt-Out of all the categories and must have one category selected at any time.

NOTE: You are required to get the update for Profile & Connect from Studio > AppStore to utilize this enhancement. Also, RBACSettings applet is required to be enabled and older Settings applet shall be disabled.

Logout Prompt Message Update

The logout prompt pop-up has been updated with more informative message. The message reminds users to close the browser sessions after clicking the logout button.

All Tags Option Options in Messaging

With this enhancement, admin can now post connect messages to all categories in one go. An option ‘All’ has been added under Select Tags dropdown, upon selecting ‘All’ the system would automatically select all the categories for messaging. Prior, user was forced to select all the listed categories manually.

Mobile Framwork Design Enhancement

Engage mobile app users can now get colors managed on their mobile app so that the colors can represent their branding. This can be achieved on new mobile framework only.

Note: Let Engage Implementation team know if you would like to have colors updated for your mobile app.
