Unifyed Student – Engage helps institutions communicate with students more effectively and provide them with a
personalized campus experience. It enables students to stay engaged with the campus community and provides them with convenient access to services that can help them graduate timely.
Unifyed Student - Engage includes Groups that enables student, faculty and staff clubs/organizations to collaborate using the Group Chat and Unifyed Connect thread, share documents, display group member contact information, to run events, and more. For different use cases these groups can be open to anyone with a login, restricted to certain audiences, or private which can only be seen by those assigned to the Group.
Profanity Filter and Flagged Content
While student-to-student engagement within Chat, Group Chat, and Unifyed Connect is important we also need to make sure that Unifyed Student – Engage is a safe space so we do that with the Profanity Filter. Pre-loaded with over 3,500 words, phrases and permutations of phrases we block chats or Connect posts from being posted that include these texts. Each customer can manage their profanity library uniquely to allow / disallow words as your policy dictates.
Messaging & Nudging
Unifyed Student - Engage includes an omnichannel targeted messaging system which supports push notifications, in-app notifications, lytebox, SMS, and email and To Dos. Students can be providing timely reminders of financial aid filing dates, notified when their grades are posted, and nudged to clear their balance when they have a hold placed on their account. Nudging allows senders of messages to connect another Unifyed Applet to the message. This enables the receiver of the message to click the notification and land on a specific feature. For example sending a message to pay your bill can take you to the payment gateway applet.
Unifyed Student- Engage provides a feature called Connect, similar to LinkedIn, where students, faculty, and staff can select their interests like free food, used books, ride sharing, on-campus jobs, and more. Posts can include text, links, images, and Youtube clips while users can like and comment on posts to increase interaction. In addition to the interests selected any Group (like Chess Club) that the user joins the Connect Applet will display posts from that Group.
Academics & Finances
Unifyed Student - Engage enables students to access their courses and student services ranging from billing and payment to financial aid and housing by integrating with the popular 3rd party applications ranging from Canvas® to Blackboard® and Banner® to Peoplesoft®.
Unifyed Student - Engage includes easy-to-use content management with delegated authoring and role based access control (RBAC) allowing departments to manage their own content without the need for IT Department as there is no need to look at any code.
Unifyed Student- Engage includes, Yoda, a chatbot, that helps admissions and student services reduce their workload by automatically answering repetitively asked questions such as "How do I apply for financial aid?" and "Whats for lunch today at Murphy Hall?". It enables prospects, applicants, and students to receive better customer service experience by getting quick answers to their questions. One-on-One Chat & Chat Rooms
Unifyed Student - Engage includes One-on-One chat so that users can approve connections then participate in direct messages with other users. Additionally faculty and advisors can mentor students on their progress, conveniently. Engage also includes Chat Rooms that allow students, faculty and staff that are part of clubs, committees and organizations to communicate with each other. Users can set their preferences on who can search for them within chat or even opt out of chat completely.

Yes, Unifyed rolls our monthly updates to the Unifyed Student – Engage platform. Updates to a version happens when a client chooses to implement it.
Since the application is cloud based, Unifyed ensures that the update/upgrade process does not affect up time. Hence, downtime, if any is taken during non-business hours or during weekend. Unifyed send advance notifications to clients for any scheduled downtime and takes necessary approvals before doing so.
End users are always on the most up to date version of the mobile app as updates happen each time the app is opened. This happens as the user opens the app and is only about 5kb, and allows schools to get updates out to users without needing to be approved by the app stores again.
