Ana G. Mendez University System (AGMUS) needed a next generation Higher Education Management Software in sync with desktop as well as mobile users to reinforce the university’s community engagement of potential and current students, faculty, staff and alumni. They were interested in incorporating an exciting technology that could work efficiently in engaging students as well as offering a completely branded portal experience. This helps set apart their campus and provides its end users with an experience that simplifies on-campus tasks.

Goals: AGMUS wanted to establish a reliable portal, mobile and single sign-on solution for its universities.

Obstacles: Bringing together a community concept through a portal and mobile platform that provided each AGMUS university a portal with their own branding.

Results: Unifyed helped AGMUS implement a mobile and portal solution with their own brand image to streamline communication between students, staff, faculty, and alumni. Unifyed also introduced AGMUS to its identity partner, QuickLaunch to resolve their identity-related issues.

Offering Students A Powerful And Unified Interface!

About three years ago, Ana G Mendez rolled out their first Higher Education Student Portal Software and later added the campus mobile app, with the help of Unifyed, a global leader in higher education technology that empowers institutions and students worldwide.

Officials say that the Unifyed mobile and portal solution has been doing tremendously well.

For years, institutions which used Unifyed’s campus solutions, gained access to innovative technologies developed by the organization, its member institutions and partners. Reducing overall costs of ownership for an individual institution and giving all campuses and their students an equal opportunity to prosper in this competitive world was exactly what the university was looking for.

The web access and app became available for students and faculty from the year 2014 and spread across other branches until 2016, and while few users were apprehensive in the beginning, its utility and precision changed the perspective of more than 40,000 students and counting.

Outcome

  1. AGMUS is currently live and in production with:
    • Unifyed for the student, faculty, staff portal and mobile platform.
    • QuickLaunch for single sign-on.
  2. AGMUS helped their universities implement six portals and Higher Ed Mobile Apps, one for each university.
  3. AGMUS helped their universities engage with their students through a single username and password and integrations for all critical applications such as ERP, LMS and Mail applications.
  4. AGMUS helped each of their universities with a centralized and search enabled document repository.
  5. AGMUS helped achieve a community concept through the portal platform that provided each university Higher Ed Web Portals with their own branding.
